David "Hicky Head" Boneparte

David “Hickey Head” Boneparte “It is written that when life begins it is like an open book with many blank pages. Each day as welive our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes in death and await that great getting up morning.” David “Hickey Head” Boneparte was born January 21, 1949 to the late Wilbur Lee Boneparte and Bertha Lee Johnson Boneparte. He was affectionately known to his family and others as “Hickey Head.” He entered eternal rest on January 8, 2023. David received his education in Calhoun County School District. At an early age, David joined St. John Baptist Church. David was well-liked and admired by many relatives, friends, neighbors, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him. He loved children and children loved him. He was a life of smiles. David was lovable and cheerful with a gentle laugh and a sense of humor. He loved music and liked to fish. He was known for his trash talking and putting the cat in the bucket and see what it gone do. To whom that do not know that was his famous dance. David was married to the late Lurline Boneparte. David was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Lee Boneparte, mother, Bertha Lee Johnson Boneparte, four sisters, Selene Boneparte, Lillie Mae Glover, Willie Mae Boneparte, Josey Boneparte Austin, and brother, Wilbur Lee Boneparte Jr. David leaves to cherish fond memories: his children, David Lee Boneparte Jr. of Orangeburg, SC, three daughters Yvonne Sharperson of Elgin, SC, Tonya (Gregory) Miller of West Columbia, SC, and Wendy Fields of Gaffney SC, three sisters Gerlene (Robert) Stroman of Orangeburg SC, Allie Queen Boneparte of Fort Lauderdale FL, twelve grandchildren Nikeen, Deon, Jazzman, Jade, and Diamond Boneparte all of Orangeburg SC, Saalyk Dowling of Orangeburg SC, Eric Boneparte of Columbia SC, Rakim, Davernier Parker both of Columbia SC, Hyacinth Dwight of Elgin SC, Tamani Miller of west Columbia SC, and Messiah Fields of Gaffney SC, four great-grandchildren Jada, Jadae, and Desond Reese all of Elgin SC, and Anyia Parker of Columbia SC, six nieces April Austin-Guest, Tammy Boneparte, Stephanie Parker all of Orangeburg SC, Dayatra Stroman of Jacksonville FL, Camika (Kaleef) McCray of Austin TX, and Jessica Scrivens of Fort Lauderdale, FL, four nephews Patrick (Vernetta) Austin of St. Matthews SC, Esau Austin, Robert Stroman Jr. both of Orangeburg, SC, Oscar Lee Scrivens of Fort Lauderdale, FL and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives. Sleep on David and take your rest. We loved you, but God loved you best. We ask that everyone please wear a mask during the visitation and service.
